Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. My Pops and I have been taking our transmission(s) to Benson’s for 15+ years. They are professionals in every sense of the word. We had bought an engine that supposedly came with a fresh rebuilt tranny. We installed the engine and tranny, and it would not go into reverse. We took the tranny to Benson’s…they tore it down, diagnosed, made the repair, put it back together ready to be installed when we returned home. From the moment they moved it from the bed of my truck onto the bench, until it was done and loaded in the back of my truck…took about 20 minutes!

We had a car issue pop up while travelling and these guys took the car in right away. It ended up that something in the turbo had disconnected and it wasn't the transmission, but they reconnected it for me anyways. Just the nicest, most helpful shop we could have stopped at, highly recommend!

Extremely helpful and generous with sharing their knowledge. I’m in the process of working on my wife’s transmission and came into some issues while installing everything back and one of their guys, Juan, gave me some good tips, suggested some parts to replace and why I should replace them, told me a very affordable place to go, and when I didn’t realize I needed a special tool, they helped out very generously. I highly recommend their service.

Bensons Built a nice transmission for my corvette. I bought a high performance kit for it. They assembled it, and it looks like it’s going to finally work out after three transmissions installed from prior shops. This place is good to go. I cracked the pump on the transmission installing it. They did not hesitate to help next day replace it for me. Honest shop they have my business don’t hesitate to give them yours. Thank you!!!!

Benson's Transmission took care of my transmission problem on my 2006 Jeep Commander (Required a full rebuild) . I highly recommend this shop. They have done multiple repairs and rebuilds for me on my transportation business vehicles. They honor their warranty and have great technicians working there. I highly value their integrity and customer service. Both Mike the owner and Mike the front counter guy are exceptional! Check them out yourself. They are always busy so be prepared to apply a little patience.
